Following their recent announcement of signing Maxuell Maia, the top scorer in the local league, Gżira United are now preparing to make another important decision by appointing a new head coach ahead of the upcoming season.
According to TVM Sport website, the club has identified Clive Mizzi as the ideal candidate to lead the team as their new head coach. Mizzi is no stranger to Maltese football, bringing a wealth of experience from coaching several clubs across the island. Over the years, he has managed notable teams such as Sliema Wanderers, Naxxar Lions, and Tarxien Rainbows. His knowledge of the local football scene and his tactical acumen make him well-suited to take charge of Gżira United.
Most recently, Mizzi coached Melita, a team that unfortunately faced relegation to the Challenge League this past season. Despite this setback, his experience working under pressure and managing teams in challenging situations will serve him well as he embarks on this new role.
