PSG beat Liverpool to reach semi-finals again

Paris Saint-Germain reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals for the third year in a row after beating Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield. They went through 4-0 on aggregate, having also won the first leg 2-0.

Liverpool started brightly and were backed by a strong home crowd, but PSG created the first real chances. Ousmane Dembélé was involved early on, testing the goalkeeper and later missing a good chance from close range.

Liverpool suffered a setback when Hugo Ekitike went off injured, but Mohamed Salah came on and nearly made an impact straight away. Liverpool had a good chance through Milos Kerkez, but PSG defended well to keep their lead.

In the second half, Liverpool improved and pushed forward in search of a goal. They thought they had a penalty at one point, but VAR overturned the decision. Despite their efforts, they could not break through.

PSG sealed the win with less than 20 minutes to go when Dembélé scored with a fine finish. He added a second goal in stoppage time to complete a strong performance.
