Arsenal continued their perfect Champions League run with an impressive 3-1 win over Inter Milan at the San Siro, thanks to two goals from Gabriel Jesus.
The Gunners started brightly and took the lead after 10 minutes. A slick passing move ended with Jurriën Timber’s shot falling kindly for Jesus, who slid the ball into the net from close range. It was Arsenal’s 400th goal in European competition.
Inter hit back just eight minutes later. Petar Sučić reacted quickest to a loose ball on the edge of the box and fired a powerful shot past David Raya to level the score. The home side then missed a good chance to take the lead when Marcus Thuram shot over after a quick counter-attack.
Arsenal punished that miss before half-time. Bukayo Saka’s corner was headed back across goal by Leandro Trossard, and Jesus was in the right place to nod home from close range and restore Arsenal’s lead.
The visitors pushed for a third goal after the break. Yann Sommer made a good save to deny Eberechi Eze, while Trossard narrowly missed the target with a volley. Inter also had chances, with substitute Pio Esposito shooting just wide.
Arsenal wrapped up the win late on when Viktor Gyökeres finished a well-worked move after combining with Saka, following a superb long pass from Gabriel Martinelli.
