The football club PSG issued an official statement in which they condemn the behavior of their own fans due to the situation with Messi.
The Parisians addressed the public on the occasion of the gathering of a large number of fans in front of the “Park of the Princes” to express their dissatisfaction with the actions of Lionel Messi.
On that occasion, many insults were heard against the Argentine, which led to the reaction of the club.
PSG strongly condemns the unacceptable and offensive actions of a small group of individuals. Nothing can justify such behavior and the club gives its full support to the players and management and to all those affected by this shameful behavior,’ the announcement states.
As a reminder, Messi decided to travel to an Arab country to fulfill a contract with a Saudi travel agency. According to club sources, Lionel did it on his own responsibility and thus decided not to attend training on Monday after the defeat against Lorient.
He was suspended for two weeks and will not be able to train with the team for the next 14 days, during which he will miss two matches of the domestic championship.
