Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, despite offers from Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain, has decided to stay at Roma until the end of his contract, Italian media reports.
“Corriere dello Sport” states that the Portuguese is maximally focused on the club from Rome and that he wants to stay at least until the end of the contract in 2024.
After the departure of Eddie Howe, Newcastle looked for Mourinho as an ideal replacement for the new “magpie” coach, but apparently that will not happen.
The same media reports that despite the good relations with sports director Luis Campos, the Portuguese rejected the offer from Paris Saint-Germain.
“Special” has been on Roma’s bench since last season, and his greatest success with the Roman club is the Conference League trophy.
After 27 rounds played, Roma is fifth in the table with 47 points, one less than Milan, three less than Inter and five less than Lazio.
