Vinicius Junior Rejects Real Madrid's Offer to Wear Legendary Number 7 Jersey

Real Madrid’s young footballer Vinicius Junior has turned down an offer from the club to wear the legendary number seven jersey next season.

The number seven has been worn by Real Madrid legends in the past, including Emilio Butragueno, Raul Gonzalez, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Instead, Vinicius has expressed his desire to continue wearing his current number, 20, which he also wore at his former club, Flamengo.

Real Madrid’s management had hoped to revive the reputation of the famous jersey by offering it to Vinicius. The number seven was previously worn by Mariano Dias and Eden Hazard after Ronaldo’s departure, but neither player lived up to expectations.

Meanwhile, Hazard is not in the plans of coach Carlo Ancelotti, having only played seven games this season and scoring a goal against Celtic in the Champions League.
