In the final hours of the transfer window, Mosta FC made headlines by securing two promising signings that could prove invaluable for their squad under the guidance of coaches Mario Muscat and Joe Grech. The club has officially brought in two young talents from Ivory Coast, both of whom have ties to Lazio in Italy: 21-year-old Larsson Coulibaly and Souleymane Kone, who will celebrate his 20th birthday in October.
Larsson Coulibaly, a midfielder, joins Mosta directly from Lazio, where he has spent the last two seasons honing his skills in the youth teams under the mentorship of Italian coach Stefano Sanderra. Together, they celebrated a significant achievement by winning the Super Cup of Primavera2 during the 2022/23 season.
Souleymane Kone, a forward, also caught Sanderra’s attention while at Lazio. Last season, he was on loan at Sorrento, a club competing in Serie C. During his time with Lazio’s Under-19 team, Kone made 11 appearances and found the back of the net four times, showcasing his potential as a goal scorer.
