Storey adds to her record as Team GB secure 31st Gold in Paris

Sarah Storey has further strengthened her position as the most decorated Paralympian from Great Britain by clinching her 18th career gold medal on the seventh day of the Paris 2024 Games.

At the age of 46, Storey triumphed in the women’s C5 road cycling time trial with a commanding lead of over four seconds, securing ParalympicsGB’s 31st gold medal at the event.

This remarkable achievement comes 32 years after Storey’s initial Paralympics medal in 1992.

In another noteworthy performance, Fran Brown claimed the silver medal in the women’s C1-C3 time trial.

With a total of 63 medals, Great Britain has now secured the second position on the medal table in Paris. China remains in the lead with an impressive tally of 118 medals, including 55 golds.
