Last weekend, the MTFSA Knock Out and Category competitions were held at the La Vallette Band Club in Valletta.
In the Open category final, Jurgen Balzan beat John Zammit 1–0 to win the title. Mark Gauci and Jason Pisani both reached the semi-finals.
In the Veteran category, Jason Pisani won the title after finishing ahead of Aquilina on goal difference in a league-style competition.
Because of their wins, both Balzan and Pisani have qualified to represent Malta at the FISTF World Cup in France this September in their respective categories.
The participation of Maltese athletes in international events continues to be supported by SportMalta.
