Balzan streghten squad with more foreign signings

Irish defender Kevin Williams and Dutch forward Carson Buschman Dormond are the most recent additions to Balzan FC’s roster ahead of the upcoming Malta Premier League season, set to commence next Friday. These signings join a growing list of new players joining the team.

Over the past two seasons, 24 year old Kevin Williams has been playing in the Irish First Division, which is a division below the Premier League, with Kerry FC. He has consistently been a regular player and is regarded by many as a versatile defender with a strong personality. He is capable of playing in any defensive position, both on the left and right side, as well as in the center of the defense.

Carson Buschman Dormond, a 21-year-old striker, recently played for Canadian team York United. Prior to this, he gained experience in Estonia with JK Viljandi Tulevik and with the U-21 team of Swiss giants FC Zürich.

Balzan will play in the opening match of the upcoming season against neighbours, Birkirkara, on Friday 16th August, at 6pm at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium.
