Liverpool FC progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 3-0 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield on Saturday.
Brighton had eliminated Manchester United in the previous round, but they were unable to contain Liverpool, who controlled the contest for long periods.
Liverpool were required to adjust defensively due to injuries, with Curtis Jones starting at right back. He opened the scoring by moving into the penalty area to meet a cross from Milos Kerkez and finishing from close range.

In the second half, Mohamed Salah played a central role in extending Liverpool’s advantage. His measured pass released Dominik Szoboszlai, who scored with a firm strike to make it 2-0.
Salah later added a third goal from the penalty spot, registering his 252nd goal for Liverpool. The result secured Liverpool’s place in the next round of the FA Cup and continued their progression in the competition.
