The Eintracht players advanced to the semifinals of the Europa League after beating Barcelona 3:2 away, in the return match of the quarterfinals of that competition. The double scorer and assistant was Kostic, who became the main topic of European media overnight.
The Serbian national team member summed up his impressions after the match, which he characterized as the best in his career.
- The best game of my career. I am very happy and proud of the team, the club, and the fans. With these fans, I felt like we were playing at home. It’s just amazing. The victory is for the whole city, and I dedicate the goals to the family – said Kostic.
After the third goal of the team from Frankfurt and his second, Kostic knelt in front of the fans of the visiting team.
- I wanted to cheer with them. It was the best feeling of my career. But we are not done in the Europa League yet, the goal is the final. The match with West Ham will be difficult. However, we have plenty of time to prepare. What happened at the Nou Camp will remain in my heart forever – Kostic concluded.
