Arsenal claimed an important 4-1 win away to Tottenham in the North London Derby, keeping themselves ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League title race. It was also their fifth straight win against Spurs.
Arsenal had most of the ball early on but struggled to score at first. They finally took the lead after half an hour when Bukayo Saka worked the ball to Eberechi Eze, who reacted quickly to finish from close range.
Tottenham responded almost immediately after half-time. Randal Kolo Muani won the ball from Declan Rice and fired past David Raya to make it 1-1.
However, Arsenal regained control quickly. Viktor Gyökeres scored soon after the restart to put the visitors back in front. Spurs thought they had equalised again through Kolo Muani, but the goal was ruled out for a foul.
Eze then scored his second of the match after good work from Saka, making it 3-1. Late on, Gyökeres added another goal to seal a convincing victory.
The win restores Arsenal’s five-point lead over Manchester City, although they have played one game more. Spurs, meanwhile, suffer a third straight defeat and are now just four points above the relegation zone.
