Gray goal gives Spurs narrow victory at Selhurst Park

Tottenham earned a 1-0 win away at Crystal Palace, with Archie Gray scoring his first goal for the club. It was only Spurs’ second Premier League win in nine matches.

Crystal Palace started well and created several chances in the first half. Richarlison had a goal ruled out for offside for Tottenham, while Palace went close through Jean-Philippe Mateta, but he missed two good opportunities. The home side also tested goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, who made important saves.

Just before half-time, Tottenham took the lead. Richarlison headed the ball across goal, and Archie Gray turned it into the net for his first senior goal.

Palace pushed hard after the break and continued to miss chances, including a close-range effort that went over the bar. Tottenham defended well and thought they had scored a second goal, but Richarlison’s effort was again ruled out for offside.

The match stayed tense until the end. Spurs hit the post late on, but managed to hold on for the win. The result moves Tottenham up to 11th place in the table.
