Second-half display seals big win for Manchester City

Manchester City produced a strong second-half display to beat Chelsea 3-0, boosting their chances in the Premier League title race. The win also means City are now unbeaten in their last 13 matches against Chelsea.

Chelsea started brightly and created the better chances early on. Cole Palmer hit the side netting, while João Pedro had a goal ruled out for offside. Pedro Neto also went close, but his shot was saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

City began to grow into the game before half-time, with Robert Sánchez making a good save to deny Bernardo Silva. Both sides had a few more chances, but the first half ended goalless.

After the break, City took control. They went ahead six minutes into the second half when Nico O’Reilly headed in from Rayan Cherki’s cross. Just six minutes later, Cherki set up Marc Guéhi, who finished well to make it 2-0.
