Lisbon’s Benfica rejected Chelsea’s offer of 90 million euros for Argentina national team player Enzo Fernandez and three players Hakim Ziyech, Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos, reports the Portuguese newspaper “Rekord”
Benfica footballer Enzo Fernandez recently won the title at the World Cup in Qatar with the Argentina team and was also named the best young player at the World Cup.
Some Portuguese media announced last night that the negotiations between Benfica and Chelsea failed, as the two clubs could not agree on compensation for the Argentinian footballer.
Benfica does not want to sell Fernandez for less than 120 million euros, and the team from London reportedly offered 85 million euros.
“Rekord” states that Benfica rejected the London club’s last offer of 90 million euros and three players, Ziyech, Fofana and Santos, for Fernandez.
In 2020, Chelsea paid Ajax 40 million euros for Ziyech. Fofana joined the team from “Stamford Bridge” from Molde, and Santos from Vasco da Gama.
