Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is one of the candidates who could take over the Brazil national team at the end of the season.
This was confirmed by the president of the Football Association, Ednaldo Rodrigues.
Brazil has been without a coach since last December, as Tite was sacked after the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.
Rodrigues believes that Ancelotti would have great authority over all the “stars” of the team.
“Ancelotti is unanimously respected among the players. Not only Ronaldo Nazario or Vinicius but all those who played for him,” Rodriguez said.
The Italian has a contract with Real until June 30, 2024.
“I really admire the way he works and how consistent he is in his work. He needs no introduction. He is really a top coach who has many achievements and we hope that he can have even more”, said the president of FS Brazil.
The current coach of Real is a big favorite.
“He is not only the favorite of the players, but also of the fans. Wherever I go in Brazil, in every stadium, he is the first name the fans ask me about. They speak of him in a very kind way, because of everything he has done in his career. Let’s believe in God, let’s wait for the right time and we’ll see if we can make it happen”, concluded Rodrigues.
