The trailer has already generated buzz, showcasing none other than AC Milan legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic issuing a bold challenge to Pulisic. The retired Swedish striker, now a senior advisor at Milan, urged Pulisic to embrace his role as the leader of the U.S. Men’s National Team and even consider adopting a “bad boy” persona.

“He doesn’t like being called Captain America, but I don’t care,” Ibrahimovic remarked in his signature unfiltered style. “You are Captain America. I would like him to be a little bit of a bad guy.”

Pulisic, 26, has been performing at an elite level for both club and country. For AC Milan, he has contributed five goals and three assists in the first eight Serie A matches of the season and added two goals and an assist in the UEFA Champions League. On the international stage, he’s continued to shine under new USA coach Mauricio Pochettino, scoring twice and providing an assist in crucial wins against Jamaica.

However, Pulisic has not been without controversy. A politically charged goal celebration drew criticism from fans and former USMNT star Tim Howard, who called the act “stupid.” Yet, Ibrahimovic sees this as an opportunity for Pulisic to lean into his superhero nickname while embracing a more edgy persona.

Ibrahimovic, known for his larger-than-life personality and outspoken nature, spent the final years of his playing career at AC Milan before transitioning to an advisory role. His influence on Pulisic seems to be paying dividends, as the American continues to deliver stellar performances despite the scrutiny surrounding him.

The documentary, titled PULISIC, promises a behind-the-scenes look at his journey, showcasing what it takes to lead on the pitch while navigating life’s pressures. Fans can expect to see both the challenges and triumphs of the player Ibrahimovic has dubbed “Captain America” as he steps into the global spotlight.
