Steph Curry, the Golden State Warriors star, became the basketball player with the highest three-pointers in the history of the NBA League.
He surpassed Ray Allen’s previous record of 2,973 three-pointers.
Curry scored a historic 2,974. against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
In order to achieve this effect, he needed only 798 games, while Allen achieved his goal after 1,300.
Third on the eternal list is Reggie Miller with 2,560 threes in 1,389 games.
Curry needed two threes to write new pages of NBA history in New York, and he hit them in the first five minutes of the match from three attempts.
He celebrated this record with his mother, and then he was embraced by the man he surpassed, Allen.
And he was congratulated by “number 3” Miller, another NBA legend.
It was difficult to control his emotions, so he cried on the bench.
Curry scored at least one triple in 152 consecutive games, which is the second-longest streak in NBA history.
And this record is in his possession as well with 157 games in a row.
Also, with 105 three-pointers in the first 19 games this season, he set the record with the fewest matches for the first 100 three-pointers in the season.
