Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash points out that he has a good relationship with Kevin Durant before the new season despite the fact that the Nets star asked the owner to trade him if they want him to stay in the team.
“We are fine, everything is fine. Since we talked, it’s as if nothing happened, Kevin and I have known each other for a long time. I love that guy. Families have their problems, but now that’s behind us. It’s nothing unusual in this league,” said Nash and added:
“It hurt us all, nobody wants to go through everything we went through last year. Sometimes you lose perspective because you always want to win, but the reality is that we need to talk and see how we can improve. We have been through a lot”.
The former playmaker worked with Durant in Golden State, he is not sure that Kevin asked for his dismissal.
“I never thought it was one hundred percent correct, it’s not so black and white, a lot happens behind the scenes. A lot of what was reported in the media was not completely accurate, you always get a piece of the truth. I will hear from Kevin when the time is right. I will talk to everyone, let’s go step by step, without sudden reactions,” said Steve Nash.
