Serbian basketball player Nikola Milutinov confirmed his intention to play for the Serbian national team at the upcoming Mundobasket.
The experienced center is located in Greece, where the basketball tournament of the Olympiakos legend, Jorgos Printezis, was organized, and in an interview with the local media, he pointed out what few suspected.
“I already told Pesic that I am available for the national selection. I really want to be part of the team, we have quality but we have to show it on the field. We had quality in previous years as well, but we didn’t do as well as we expected. I really hope we do something good this year.” Milutinov said.
He also mentioned Nikola Jokic and his potential appearance for the national team.
“We have to give him more time because he had a really long and hard season. Whatever his decision was, we must appreciate it because he did a lot for our people. He’s one of the best basketball players on the planet right now.” Nikola Milutinov, who returned to Olympiakos, pointed out.
He recently returned to Piraeus from Moscow, where he will begin his second term at Olympiakos.
“The most painful moment for me was the departure of Vezenkov. Two key players left, he and Sloukas, so we have to work hard to do something next season. I hope to take a step forward when it comes to my game.” the Serbian center concluded.
