The Memphis team hosted Sacramento in their FedEx Forum in their third clash of the season. The home team won with a score of 118:108 in a very exciting match until the very end.
In the first half, the match was even. After the opening 12 minutes, the home team led by half a basket, it was 27:26. The situation was the same during the second quarter, so Memphis had a minimal lead of 59:58 at halftime.
After the break, the match continued in a similar rhythm. Memphis was slightly better, and before the decisive 12 minutes had a 91:87 lead.
The last stretch belonged entirely to the Grizzlies. They tightened the defense and allowed the Kings only 21 points, against their 27, so Memphis reached its second triumph over the Kings in the season with a score of 118:108.
Ja Morant was the most effective with 35 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Tyus Jones had 18 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Steven Adams recorded a double-double with 11 points and 23 points.
On the other side, De’Aaron Fox recorded 19 points, six assists and four rebounds. Domantas Sabonis was excellent again and recorded a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
The Grizzlies are second in the West with a score of 23-13, and the Kings are sixth with 19-16. In the next round, Memphis is visiting the Charlotte Hornets, where they will try to continue their winning streak. Sacramento will host the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.
