JOKIC AFTER THE VICTORY: Murray is our leader, we know what to expect in Minnesota

The Denver Nuggets basketball players managed to defend their home court after another victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Nikola Jokic praised his teammate Jamal Murray.

Mike Malone’s team won 122:113 against Minnesota and took a 2-0 lead in the series of the first round of the West playoffs.

Nikola Jokic played another great match, and he was one assist and rebound short of a triple-double effect – 29 points, 9 assists, and 9 rebounds.

After a lot of uncertainty, the question of the winner was solved by Jamal Murray with a three-pointer, when the Nuggets gained a nine-point advantage with a minute and a half left in the match.

Jamal Murray was also the best player of the game with 40 points, three rebounds and five assists.

“He is our number one in the previous two games. “I think he plays much better now than in the ‘bubble’, he may have scored more points then, but now he has better energy, leadership… I won’t say focus, but there is much more to the game,” said the Serbian center.

The third game will be played in Minnesota, on Friday and Saturday at 3:30 CET.

“In Minnesota, we will have the same approach as at home. We know what to expect, we know what they will do – that they will play aggressively, with physical contact, we are ready for that,” said Jokic.
