IRVING ON DURENT: To grow as brothers, I'll probably see him more often

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were teammates in the Brooklyn Nets until recently, and after trading Kyri to Dallas, Durant changed teams and joined the Phoenix Suns.

The new Dallas basketball player had a comment on Durant’s trade.

“I just pray for his happiness and well-being. We talked a lot throughout the year about what our future would look like. There was still a level of uncertainty, but we just cared about seeing each other in places where we could make progress. Whether we were together or apart, I never felt like he was mad at me for the decisions I made or that I was mad at him.

We are just trying to understand each other better and to grow as human beings, to grow as brothers. The job changes so quickly, he’s getting a little older, and I’m getting older. I just love that we’re going to be competitive in the same conference. “I’ll probably see him a little more, probably play more against Phoenix,” Irving said.

Last night, he made his debut for Dallas, leading the Mavs with 24 points to win over the Los Angeles Clippers 110:104.
