Hezonja won the highest recognition in Russia

Croatian basketball player Mario Hezonja has been named the most valuable player of VTB, the extended Russian championship that Polish and Estonian clubs left this season due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The Croatian basketball player achieved this success as a member of UNICS from Kazan, where he arrived this season from Panathinaikos.

During this season, he averaged 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.2 steals.

This is definitely the best season of Hezonja’s career, because, let us remind you, he has already won two individual awards this season within the same competition.

Hezonja was the MVP of the all-star game, the winner in the dunk contest, and for the hat-trick, he only left without the trophy for the best in fast three-pointer shooting.
