Baskonia is dealing with big problems at the start of this season, both in the Euroleague and in the domestic ACB league.
The club from Vitoria tied three defeats in the domestic championship and two in the Euroleague. Maybe the defeats would not have been so much of a problem if Baskonia had not looked very bad in those matches.
In the last three duels, they were defeated with at least 15 points difference, and against Zenit, they finished the game with as much as 29 points behind.
Duško Ivanovic’s bench is very shaken, and Baskonia hopes that a new basketball player could bring a turnaround in the season.
Lamar Peters is a new member of the club from Vitoria, and he comes from the ranks of the Philadelphia 76ers, for which he played during the summer league.
Peters started the previous season in the New York Knicks, and after the summer league, he moved to the Knicks branch in the G League. There, he averaged 17.7 points per match, and in the middle of the season, he decided to strengthen Turkish Bursaspor.
In the Bursa jersey, he averaged 18.4 points in the Eurocup, and 9.9 points in the Turkish Championship. After Turkey, an episode in Philadelphia followed, and now Peters is strengthening the ranks of the Baskonia.
What do you think, will Lamar Peters contribute to the better games of the club from Vitoria?
