This year’s champion of Indian Wells is the American Taylor Fritz.

Taylor is the first tennis player from America to win this tournament, since 2001, while Rafa suffered his first defeat in 2022, as he scored 20 wins in a row.
From the very beginning of the match, Nadal entered the match badly, then asked for a medical time-out twice, had problems on the field, while Fritz used every opportunity he created himself or that Nadal’s weakness allowed.
In the second set, Rafa made a break, but that’s all we saw from him, Taylor turned it around and celebrated in the tie-break.
On the latest ATP list, the American is now the eighth tennis player on the planet, while Nadal is ahead of Zverev and is now the third tennis player in the world.
