Britain’s Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool made history by winning the Wimbledon men’s doubles title. The fifth seeds beat Rinky Hijikata and David Pel 6-2, 7-6(3) in the final on Saturday to claim their first Grand Slam as a pair.
Cash and Glasspool, who also won at Queen’s Club and Eastbourne this summer, became the first all-British duo to win the Wimbledon men’s doubles trophy since 1936.
They started strongly with an early break, helped by a poor service game from Pel, and easily took the first set on a sunny Centre Court.

Although the Australian-Dutch team fought back in the second set and levelled at 4-4, Cash and Glasspool raised their game in the tiebreak and sealed the win, sparking big celebrations.
