Kimi Antonelli has spoken about his future with Mercedes as speculation builds over the team’s plans for 2026.
Both Antonelli and George Russell have contracts that run out at the end of this season. Meanwhile, Mercedes are reportedly trying to sign Max Verstappen from Red Bull.
Some think Russell could lose his seat if Verstappen joins. But Antonelli only signed a one-year deal to replace Lewis Hamilton, meaning his place is also uncertain.

When asked if he had any guarantees from Mercedes about staying on, Antonelli said:
“There’s a lot happening at the moment, but I trust the team is thinking about the future, not just next year. My job is to give my best, whatever happens.”
The Italian also confirmed he’s not talking to any other teams and believes Mercedes still have confidence in him, despite a mixed first half of his rookie season.
