Carlos Alcaraz had to withdraw from the ATP tournament in Acapulco due to an injury he sustained in the previous tournament.
The second tennis player in the world played in the final of Rio de Janeiro against Cameron Norrie, who celebrated in the final of this match.
“Unfortunately, I am not able to play in Acapulco. I have a first-degree sprain of my right leg tendon and this injury will keep me off the field for a few days. This was shown by the tests I performed this morning,” said Alcaraz.
What awaits the young Spaniard now is recovery to be ready for the United States of America, where two Masters will soon be played, in Indian Wells and Miami.
