Between Friday 25th and Sunday 26th April, karting driver Jessica Calleja took part in the ROK 3 Cup Italy at the Franciacorta Karting Track in Bargnana, Brescia. Now racing in the junior category, Calleja said, “Moving up from the mini category to junior is an exciting challenge – it’s fast and competitive, but that’s what makes it so enjoyable.”
She kept a solid pace throughout the weekend, going head-to-head with some of the sport’s top young drivers. The event showed just how physically and mentally demanding motorsport can be, as drivers are pushed to their limits in a fast-paced and intense environment.

After preparing in hot conditions, the race weekend brought a mix of weather, giving drivers a real test of the Franciacorta circuit. Qualifying wasn’t easy, with 60 drivers competing. Calleja ended up 38th overall, meaning she had to start each race from P19 – a challenging mid-pack position, especially in the tight first corners after the start.
Her full results were:
- P19 in qualifying
- DNF (Did Not Finish) in the first manche
- P22 in the second manche
- P17 in the final
