Following Matchday 32 of the 360Sports Malta Premier League, the Disciplinary Commissioner has issued key suspensions that could significantly impact the final stages of the title race. With four teams still in the hunt, only Floriana and Ħamrun Spartans , who face each other on Monday at 7:15pm at the National Stadium, have been affected by disciplinary sanctions.
Floriana will be without Bolivian attacking midfielder Gabriel Sotomayor, but the bigger setback comes in midfield with Matias Garcia suspended after picking up his fourth yellow card during Wednesday’s match against Birkirkara.
Ħamrun Spartans will also need to reshuffle their midfield, as Brazilian Elionay Freitas is suspended. Coach Winston Muscat is expected to turn to either Eder or Talison to fill the gap.
Meanwhile, Sliema Wanderers and Birkirkara FC, who face off this Sunday at 6pm, also at the National Stadium, head into the weekend without any suspension concerns.
