On Wednesday, March 19th, the feast of St. Joseph, the Old Motors Club Malta held its annual Dar Tal-Providenza Charity Static Show. This event, a true testament to the collective spirit of the club’s members, remained deeply rooted in its charitable mission.
Once again, the club set new records, assembling the largest number of vintage and classic cars, attracting the biggest crowd, and, most importantly, raising an unprecedented €6,700 for charity. The funds were presented to Fr. Martin Micallef, Director of Dar Tal-Providenza, by Judge Michael Mallia, Chairman of the Old Motors Club, and Aldo Pace, the event coordinator, on behalf of all club members.
The funds were raised through contributions from vintage and classic car owners, along with various activities, including rides in a stunning 1940s vintage bus, a car boot sale, a food kiosk, and the auction of a classic car. The auction was conducted by Pierre Grech Pillow from Obelisk Auctioneers, with all proceeds going toward the cause.
Club Chairman Judge Michael Mallia expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in organizing the event and to all attendees for making it another remarkable occasion for which the Old Motors Club Malta is renowned. “Your support is invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for it,” he said.
Fr. Martin Micallef, Director of Dar Tal-Providenza, echoed Judge Mallia’s message, emphasizing the crucial role such events play in supporting his mission. He highlighted the significant impact of the Old Motors Club Malta’s contributions in helping Dar Tal-Providenza continue its work.
