The Wales Veterans’ Football Association will host the Malta Veterans team at Jenner Park Stadium in Barry on Saturday, 7th June. The match, which kicks off at 2:00 PM, is being held in memory of the late Gary Speed, the former Wales captain and national team manager.
This special match honours Gary Speed’s lasting impact on Welsh football and brings together both teams in a spirit of respect, friendship, and love for the game.
Malta Veterans’ Head Coach, Joe Micallef, shared his thoughts ahead of the match, saying:
“We want to put on a great performance for this important occasion and pay our respects to one of Wales’ greatest football legends.”
The Malta Veterans team is travelling to Wales today with a talented and experienced squad, proud to represent their country in such a meaningful match.
