The Malta Veterans Football Association will start the new season with the David Cluett Memorial Cup. The draw for the competition took place yesterday, and eight teams will be taking part.
Last year’s winners, Rabat Veterans, will face St Andrew’s, while Gżira United, who won the league last season, will play against MFPA.
In the other matches, Żurrieq Wolves will play Birkirkara St Helen’s, and Floriana will meet Hibernians in what looks like an exciting game.
The matches will be played on the 8th and 9th of October at two venues: the Dorotej Ground in Ħaż-Żebbuġ and the Mediterranean College of Sports Ground in Birkirkara.
This will be the fourth time the tournament is held, in honour of former Malta international goalkeeper David Cluett.
