Charles Aquilina was in a class of his own when he won his 3rd Major of Frameries in his career in Belgium the Bormla SC Captain showed a true athletic show when he became victorious from 72 players from all over the world. This Major tournament is considered the Wimbledon of table football. Aquilina managed to win against Massart of Belgium 1-0 in last 16 and then he won Belgian Rochez 2-0 in quarter final. Next was a win against Italian Averna 3-2 and in Semi final the Maltese won against Calonico of Italy 1-0.
In the Open Category Bormla SC Belgian player Bessim Golger finished as a finalist from 145 players in a 2-2 final game with Carlos Flores and it went to a 2-3 in sudden death.
