Mac Med Group is once again sponsoring the International Yacht Paint Gozo Weekend, a popular sailing event organised by the Royal Malta Yacht Club. The event, running from 28th to 31st March 2025, combines racing with a lively social programme, making it a favourite among sailors who enjoy both competition and relaxation.
This year’s event will see a good mix of racing and cruising boats, reflecting the Club’s ongoing efforts to encourage more cruisers to take part. Regular competitors like Mario Debono’s Janissah, Fernando Grech’s Kon Tiki, David Anastasi’s Pippus, and Steve Carter’s Stella R have already signed up for the cruising category.
On the racing side, strong competition is expected, with top performers such as Brian Flahive’s Juniper, which has won every race it has entered this year, alongside Jonathan Gambin’s TonTon Laferla and JYS Jan from the Jarhead Young Sailors’ Foundation.
Rear Commodore (Yachting) Adrian Gauci Borda expressed gratitude for Mac Med Group’s continued support, which has helped make these sailing weekends a success. The company, as Malta’s exclusive representative of International Yacht Paint, has long been a key supporter of the Club and the local sailing community.
Andrew Magri Overend, CEO of Mac Med Group, highlighted the importance of the partnership, saying, “We are proud to support the Gozo Weekend Regatta 2025, an event that showcases Malta’s vibrant sailing culture and aligns with our commitment to excellence in boat care.”
