Assoċjazzjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi (ASMK) introduced a fresh occasion known as Wheels & Thrills. This event caters not only to motorcycle and car enthusiasts but also to the entire family. The aim of this event is to maintain the connection between car enthusiasts and families.
The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 6th October 2024, at the ASMK Sports Complex and the adjacent parking area in Ta’Qali. The festivities will commence promptly at 9am.
Under the patronage of Dr. Lydia Abela, President of Special Olympics Malta, this event aims to raise funds for Special Olympics Malta and provide support to the athletes associated with this significant organization.
During this event, one will not only witness the presence of motorcycles and cars, but also enjoy various international and local exhibitions. The key highlights include an exhilarating performance called Gravity, where a person will soar through the air in a flying suit at the ASMK Complex.
Additionally, there will be a captivating Monster Truck show in the style of Monster Jam, which promises to be a thrilling experience for both children and adults. To honor our local talent, there will be a choreographed display that is sure to entertain those involved in the local motorsport scene and profession.
The organizers have also invited the Maltese Model Aircraft Association, whose Complex is located near the ASMK Complex. As part of this activity, there will be a static exhibition showcasing model airplanes, as well as live demonstrations featuring small helicopters. Later in the afternoon, the helicopter from the Armed Forces of Malta will land as part of the event.
When it comes to family-oriented events, children are at the core. In addition to offering free admission for children under 12 years old, the organizers have created a dedicated children’s area with a wide range of activities. Furthermore, children will have the chance to participate in live shows taking place inside the complex.
This event is being made possible through the assistance of Enemed company, who are providing sponsorship. Additionally, Rotta, Fueled Up Meet, Mega meets, and Malta Model Aircraft Flying Academy are collaborating to support this event.
