Special Olympics Malta has announced that it will be organizing the 2024 National Games between 12 and 15 September.
This was announced in a news conference held yesterday, and will mark an important step in the commitment of Special Olympics Malta to increase the sense of inclusion in Maltese society.
The National Games organized by Special Olympics Malta will give an opportunity to more than 600 athletes with intellectual disabilities, including 100 foreign athletes from three countries, Montenegro, the United Arab Emirates and Cyprus.
The athletes will compete in five sports disciplines, ‘Bocci’, Swimming, Table Tennis, Athletics and Football. These Games will be held at the Sports Complexes of Sport Malta in Cottonera and Marsa.
The theme of this event will be “The Champions Within Us”.
