The Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) has announced that, while investigations are ongoing into the Malta Table Tennis Association by the Office of the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations (OCVO) and the Authority for the Integrity in Maltese Sport (AIMS), the MOC’s Executive Board has decided to temporarily suspend the Malta Table Tennis Association with immediate effect.
This decision was made at the board meeting on Thursday, 10th July 2025, and was approved by the MOC General Assembly, which includes all member national federations.
Because of these ongoing investigations, the Executive Board feels it has no choice but to issue this temporary suspension.
The MOC stresses that this suspension is only temporary and will be reviewed once the investigations are completed and any further information is received.
This is the second time in two years that the MOC has had to take this action regarding the Malta Table Tennis Association’s internal operations.
The Committee remains dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of honesty and good management in Maltese sport.
