MOC Secretary General candidate Jean Claude Micallef continued his campaign by meeting with Chinese Ambassador Zhang Zuo, during which he shared his vision, centred on the slogan “Maltin Rebbieħa”.
In comments published after the meeting, Micallef said he was pleased to present his ideas and added that he was encouraged to see a country with a strong sporting record, such as China, open to potential collaboration to help take the Maltese Olympic Committee to the next level.
Micallef said that, if elected by Malta’s sporting associations, he wants to push forward projects that leave a direct impact on athletes and help create more success stories for Maltese sport.

The meeting is the latest in a series of campaign engagements as Micallef continues speaking with MOC delegates in the final hours before the vote.
Meanwhile, the race for the post is set to intensify further on Wednesday morning, when the three candidates are expected to outline their visions on ONE TV.
The election for MOC Secretary General will then be held on Wednesday, 25 March, with the contest entering its decisive stage. Malta Sport shall keep updating you with the latest regarding the election of General Secretary in the Maltese Olympic committee
