Futsal national team loses in last two minutes against Romania

The last two minutes were the turning for the Maltese national futsal team as they lost the second international friendly game against Romania 3-1.

This was the second friendly match played between these two nations after the Romanians won 2-1 in the first match.

The Maltese were in the lead for almost a whole game but some defensive mistakes paved the way to the Romanian comeback.

As Malta was ready to celebrate the victory, everything turned upside down in the last 120 seconds of the match with the Maltese committing the sixth foul which meant a free-shot against them and which Andor Balint converted. A few seconds later Andrei Cracium made it 2-1 so just as the Maltese came out with the flying keeper, Hadnagy Istvan took advantage and sealed the final victory as he slotted into the empty net.
