Champions Luxol keep marching on

Local futsal champions Luxol St Andrew’s continued their strong run with their sixth win of the season. Led by Gabriel Dobre, the team triumphed 12-4 over Hamrun SC Futsal NCMB in a match they dominated from start to finish.

Luxol’s goals came from Luke Gatt, who scored four, Michael Borg with three, Marwan Telisi who netted twice, and additional goals from Andre Ciancio, Robert Stoyanov, and Jefferson Breno.

Hamrun managed to pull one back four times, with an own goal by Emil Raducu, two goals from Justin Theuma, and another from Collin Sammut.

The match was officiated by Clinton Cassar and Danilo Francalanza.

In another game, Marsaskala Legends moved up to third place in the table with a commanding 10-3 win over GZR Birżebbuġa. Marsaskala showed their intent from the start, finishing the first half 5-2 ahead. In the second half, they managed the game well to secure all three points.

Dale Valletta and Ryan Pisani each scored twice, while Jovica Milijic, Cristian Fernandez, Amir Ashtiyani, Nathan Sammut Mock, Josef Balzan, and Hugo Vinicius all found the net for Iskalin.

Armando Gjepali scored twice for GZR Birżebbuġa, with Cristian Alarcon adding another.

The game was officiated by Stephen Vella and Marco La Rosa.

The University of Malta won a closely contested match against Swieqi United LEC 07, with the final score being 6-5. The match was full of action in the first half, with nine goals scored, and the University came out on top.

Player-coach Zvezdan Vukovic scored a hat-trick, while Mohamed Elamari added two goals. Luke Anthony Borg scored another for the University.

For Swieqi, Marcelo Alarcon scored twice, and Karl Luke Schembri, Guillherme Fonseca, and Claudio Venuto each added a goal.

Referees for the match were Stephen Vella and Danilo Francalanza.
