Tarxien Rainbows have strengthened their defence with the signing of Burkina Faso international Luc Zango.
The 27-year-old centre-back, born in Strasbourg, France, adds experience and physical presence to the squad. Standing at 1.93 metres, Zango is a left-footed defender known for his aerial ability and composure at the back.
Zango began his youth career at Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace before moving abroad. Over the years, he has played in Cyprus, Denmark, and most recently Norway. In the 2024–25 season, he featured for both MEAP Nisou in the Cypriot Second Division and Åsgårdstrand IF in Norway’s Second Division, gaining valuable experience in different European football environments.
He also had a stint with Danish side Jammerbugt FC and previously turned out for Othellos Athienou in Cyprus.
Capped at international level by Burkina Faso, Zango now looks to establish himself in Maltese football as Tarxien prepare for the new campaign.
