Hibernians secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Melita, staying top of the Bottom 6 with 20 points. Melita remain joint-bottom with Naxxar Lions on 10 points and continue their fight against relegation.
The first goal came just three minutes in, with a well-worked move down the right. A low cross found Kevin Fraga, who finished neatly past goalkeeper Gosef Mizzi from close range.
Hibernians doubled their lead on the half-hour mark through a swift counter-attack. Lucas Villela made a strong run down the left and passed across to Alex Bruno on the right, who calmly slotted the ball low into the net.
In the 57th minute, Villela added Hibernians’ third. He broke free down the right, cut inside, and beat Mizzi with a low, angled finish at the near post.
