Floriana registered their second win in the YoHealth Malta Premier League with a narrow 1-0 victory over Tarxien Rainbows at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.
Although Floriana were clearly the better side throughout the match, the Rainbows put up a spirited performance, showing they won’t be easy to beat this season.
The only goal of the game came in the 36th minute, when Jose Coelho delivered a precise low pass to Manuel Rui Arias, who made no mistake in slotting the ball past Cassar.
The Greens were reduced to ten men in stoppage time after Zachary Scerri was shown a red card for a reckless foul on Luc Zango.
