TEN HAG PRAISES THE DEFENSE: In the fight on three fronts, we need all players

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag after the victory against Nottingham Forest (0:2) points out that he is especially pleased with the team’s back line.

The visitors managed to remain unbeaten and Antonio was the most deserving for his performance in attack.

He scored the first goal and assisted Dalou for the second.

In this match, the Dutch manager could not count on Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, but the substitutes in defense did an excellent job.

“The defense was very good. Really solid game from all players. The central defenders had a great cooperation, the defenders were brilliant with and without the ball. Maguire and Lindelef dominated the back line of the team,” said Ten Hag.

The Red Devils are having big problems with player injuries, especially in the defensive line, which can be a problem in a three-front game.

“Last Sunday I had nine defenders ready, now only four. We need all the players, we are still in the game in three competitions and we need them all”, concluded Ten Hag.

Manchester is already waiting for the return match of the quarter-finals of the Europa League against Sevilla on Thursday, then three days later they will play against Brighton in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, and in the next round of the Premier League they will play against Tottenham in London on April 27.
