SIMEONE, THE END OF AN ERA IN ATLETICO: Spanish media claim that it's over!

According to supposedly reliable information from journalists from the Iberian Peninsula, Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid are parting ways at the end of the season.

“El Chiringuito” is rarely wrong, and now exclusively informs the Spanish and world public that Diego Simeone is leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.

The temperamental Argentine took the helm of the “Colchoneros” in 2011 and it didn’t take him long to charm the football world with his warriors. Soon, Madrid won the LA League – it was 2014, when Atlético ascended to the throne after 18 years.

Stefan Savic and his friends conquered the domestic championship in 2021, in addition, they won the Cup, Super Cup, Europa League and UEFA Super Cup.

The only place where Simeone was unlucky in his long tenure was the Champions League, twice the team reached the title match and was defeated in both by bitter city rival, Real.

In the current season, “saturation” is felt in the air. “Colchoneros” don’t have the blood and liveliness that graced them last year, so it’s really time to say goodbye even after 12 years.

The current results show it best – Madrid were eliminated in the group stage of the Champions League, while they are only fifth in the national championship, they have 14 points less than the leader – Barcelona.
