Juventus pulled off a dramatic late comeback to beat Inter Milan 4-3 in a thrilling Derby d’Italia. The win keeps Juve perfect this season with three wins from three matches, while Inter have now lost two games in a row. Inter have also only won once in their last 13 league visits to Juventus.
Although it was still early in the season, both teams started strongly and gave the fans a match to remember. Inter had the better of the early chances, but it was Juventus who scored first. After a poor clearance from an Inter corner, Bremer passed the ball back into the box, and Lloyd Kelly smashed in a volley to make it 1-0.
Inter responded well and equalised on 30 minutes. Carlos Augusto set up Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who drilled a powerful shot into the far corner. The game remained open and exciting, and just before half-time, Kenan Yıldız scored a brilliant long-range goal from 35 yards out to put Juve 2-1 ahead.
After the break, Inter looked the stronger side, controlling the ball and pushing forward. Çalhanoğlu was again their star man. He came close with one shot before scoring a spectacular volley to level the match again at 2-2. Soon after, Inter took the lead through Marcus Thuram, who headed in from a Federico Dimarco corner to make it 3-2.
But Juventus weren’t finished. In the 83rd minute, Khéphren Thuram, Marcus’s younger brother, made it 3-3 with a header from a Yıldız free-kick. Then came the winner: Vasilije Adžić fired in a stunning goal from 30 yards out to seal the victory for Juventus.
It was a brilliant game full of goals and drama, and Juve now have their best start to a season since 2018/19.
