RIO FERDINAND CONCERNED FOR CITY: I'm curious to see who replaces De Bruyne

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand points out that the Manchester City team is weakened after Kevin De Bruyne’s new injury, and Lucas Paqueta is mentioned as his replacement in the English media.

Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez left Pep Guardiola’s team this summer, and after the recovery of the Belgian midfielder’s injury, the Spanish expert will have to rely on the current squad.

“I believe Manchester City fans are desperate. The club must bring in someone who could contribute by scoring goals. They were left without three very influential and efficient footballers – Mahres, Gundogan, and now for a while De Bruyne. I am worried about City”, said Ferdinand.

When it comes to replacing De Bruyne, the former England representative believes that West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta would be a great fit for Pep Guardiola’s team.

“I read that they are interested in Lucas Paqueta and that they offered more than 70 million pounds to West Ham. They have to make up for De Bruyne’s goalscoring performance, as well as the assists he regularly records. I’m curious to see who they bring. My choice would be Paqueta,” said Ferdinand.

According to the English media, Manchester City prepared a rich offer for the Brazilian midfielder of 70 million euros, and last season the “Hammers” player had a great influence in the victory over Fiorentina in the final of the Conference League when he assisted Bowen for the winning goal in the last minute of the match.
